Message from our PTA PRESIDENT
Welcome to a new school year from the Bodkin Elementary Parent-Teacher Association. The Bodkin
Elementary PTA is a collaborative partnership between our school, our families, and our community
which focuses on the children. If this is your first year at Bodkin Elementary, I would like to extend a very
warm welcome to each of you. If you are a “seasoned” Bodkin Bulldog family, I know that you are as
excited as we are to be starting the school year again.
As I embark on my first term as your PTA President, I am looking forward to continuing the working
partnerships we have established with the invaluable school administration, our amazing teachers, and
dedicated parents to provide an exceptional learning experience for our children.
The Bodkin PTA is an integral part of the Bodkin Bulldog family. Not only do we host fun events during
the school year, such as Santa Saturday, restaurant nights, trunk or treat, environmental fair, but we
also provide funds and volunteers for our teachers and staff. All of this requires the hard work and
dedication of our volunteers. Each one of us has different skills, talents, and resources that are
desperately needed to make Bodkin what it is. For some, it is volunteering in our classrooms. For others,
it is heading up or joining a committee that brings something special to our students. We all want the
very best education and experience for our children, and that is why we must all individually do
whatever we can to make it happen. Please join me, the PTA board, and the volunteer community as we
embark on the quest to ensure Bodkin reaches its greatest potential. The old adage, “It takes a village,”
comes to mind when I think about all the wonderful things that happen at Bodkin. And with your help,
we can strengthen and build our village to unbelievable heights. I encourage each one of you to become
a part of our team. The number one reason to join the PTA is to benefit all the children. In doing so, you
help us achieve that goal.
Our PTA meetings are the second Tuesday of
every month at 6 pm in the school library. All are welcome to attend and participate! There is no better
way to find out what’s happening at school than to sit among administrators, teachers, volunteers, and
other parents!
THANK YOU for your continued support of Bodkin and the PTA’s efforts to enhance your child’s
educational experience. Together, we create a positive school environment for all of our kids.
